Last Day of Summer Blog Featured Song: “Beautiful”

With the upcoming release of the new movie The Last Day of Summer, singer/songwriter Tesa James comments on the connection of her new single to films like Twilight, “being a huge fan of the Twilight series and Nikki Reed, I draw inspiration from great love stories. That is what Twilight is, one of the great love stories for our generation. It’s stories like this that inspire me when I sit down to write music.”

Tesa penned the song “Beautiful” for her sisters wedding. Her sister, also a big Twilight fan, was depressed about not being married yet, so Tesa wrote her a love song she could sing at her wedding.

“Beautiful” was produced byTed Perlman (Dr. Dre, Bob Dylan) and Peggi Blu.

As the song says, “I’ve waited my whole life for this, to feel your touch, to know your kiss.” Tesa believes that love is the most powerful force on this world; it can move mountains, it can heal and allow people to do things they never knew they were capable of.

Tesa James is set to be a local opening act for country superstar Taylor Swift on select upcoming dates.
